The stainless steel pistons of our Tamper are available starting at a diameter of 53mm in flat or konvex. We only have a flat type of pistons from 41 - 51mm; here, the curve does not make any improvement. Please enter the size directly where you order your article.
In the category Tamper under the "article" you will find flat/convex photos of different forms of the pistons.
If you wish a specific size that we do not have in our standard program, feel free to contact us! Custom-made products are available within a short time against low extra charge.
What size you choose depends a little on the group head; lots of shower screens are curved, therefore it argues for a convex Tamper. In the end it is a matter of taste.
With a plain piston the coffee powder is pressed stronger, and more evenly as long as the pressure occurs from the top. Therefore we suggest this version especially for beginners. With a convex Tamper you are able to form the coffee powder a little bit more, to concentrate the coffee more on the edge.
We offer the pistons in size - 57,6mm - 58mm - 58plus in trapezoid: flat or soft convex. The trapezoid effects that you can spot if the Tamper is being held at right angle. It also gets clear how deep the Tamper is determined in the filter. This kind of piston you can have in flat or convex - the gentle curve combines the best of flat and convex Tamper on the undersurface. Here the curve is clearly lower compared to the convex Tamper
